At five locations – each of which is convenient for different patients, my team and I have set up a system that gives you the best foot care that we can. Our goal at each clinic is to be consistent, capable and caring.
We will consistently bring you thorough examination and proper diagnosis. When the treatment plan is determined, we are capable of delivering the necessary treatment. We are skilled at surgery when needed for flat feet, club feet, bunions and more; laser treatment for toenail fungus, and EPAT® (Shockwave) treatment for heel and foot pain. Many of our procedures can be completed right in the office.
We, as an entire team, care about delivering podiatric treatment so that our patients can have healthy feet which work for them as feet were intended to work. The team is headed by two experienced and capable Doctors of Podiatric Medicine – trained and taught to care for your feet.

Remembering Richard O. Lundeen, DPM
The late Richard O. Lundeen was my mentor. His teaching, guidance and example are largely responsible for the mission at Hoosier Foot and Ankle to be passionate about delivering innovative foot care solutions to you, our patients.
I was honored to have Dr. Lundeen as a podiatry patient….finding him to be an ‘impatient’ patient with his own surgery recovery. He was typical of doctors in that aspect.

Congratulations – Linda James and Thank You, Everyone
We want to congratulate Linda James who won the 42 inch LG LCD Television as the top referrer to Hoosier Foot and Ankle this summer.
From June through early September, we asked patients and friends to recommend the foot care at Hoosier Foot and Ankle to their own family and acquaintances who needed treatment. We had a system were chances for the TV were given for referrals. A ticket was made out for the office records and a copy given to the patient. The office tickets were put into a drawing box.
On September 2, we held the big drawing which produced Linda James’ ticket.
This has been a busy summer with this active referral program, plus we welcomed Dr. Shirley Catoire to our staff and began marketing the EQ/IQ brace for the treatment of equinus.
The Very Important Patient appointment time slots continues at our clinics. Patients who refer FIVE or more other patients will be eligible for the next-to-no-wait appointment times. The clinics offering appointments beginning at 2 PM will have two ten-minute time slots from 1:30pm to 2:00pm.
For early risers with full schedules, we have clinics with morning hours. When the appointments begin at 8:30 am, the VIP time slots will be from 8:00am until 8:30am.

IQ/EQ Brace – Intelligent Equinus Management
I have designed a new brace for the treatment of equinus. Here are some of the highlights of the brace. Patients will not have to sleep in this. I am recommending using the brace 1/2 hour in the morning and 1/2 hour evening (15 minutes each of Gasctroc/Soleus and isolated Soleus).
IQ/EQ is an ambulatory brace that has a negative heel rocker sole which matches the amount of ankle flexion of 5, 10 or 15 degrees. There are hinges at the knee and ankle. The ankle hinge allows the doctor to set the exact degree of dorsiflexion in 5 degree increments. The knee hinge allows the knee to be locked into full extension; it can also be broken down to allow isolation of the soleus muscle. The wedge under the toe is to engage the Windlass mechanism to stretch the plantar fascia. The wedges for this will come in 35, 50 and 70 degrees.
I recently debuted the IQ/EQ brace at the AMPA convention in Boston. A presentation to my peers explained my motivation for inventing the brace – I had a personal foot injury where this type of treatment could be very effective.

This summer is all about the patients – those who have been with us faithfully and those who are new and just getting acquainted. We began the VIP Program for Very Important Patients with certain time slots set aside for VIP appointments and expanded to the give-away of a 42 inch large screen TV in September to the person who had earned the most points while referring new patients to Hoosier Foot and Ankle.
