About Dr. Abid-Hoffman

Dr. Farwa Abid-Hoffman is a Podiatric Surgeon board qualified in Foot Surgery as well as Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. She is trained to medically and surgically treat both adult and pediatric conditions of the foot and ankle, including painful flat feet, bunion deformity, heel pain, fractures of the foot and ankle, tendonitis, arthritis of the foot and ankle, gout, Achilles tendonitis, and sports-related injuries.

Having trained at a hospital with one of the busiest emergency departments in the country, Dr. Abid-Hoffman was fortunate to receive well-rounded surgical as well as medical training and emphasizes the importance of preventative medicine. Her goal is to take care of her patients as a whole. Dr. Abid-Hoffman also loves children, having three little boys of her own, and has a professional interest in pediatric foot and ankle care.

Dr. Abid-Hoffman is a graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis where she received a Bachelor of Science as well as a Master of Science in biology. She attended medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, and went on to complete a three-year surgical residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, with emphasis on trauma and rearfoot/ankle reconstruction. She served as chief resident in her final year.

Personally, Dr. Abid-Hoffman enjoys spending time with her three sons and husband, who is also a foot and ankle surgeon. She loves going to Walt Disney World with her family because she is a kid at heart and also loves to watch and support the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers. She is an art enthusiast and enjoys oil painting, charcoal drawing, and medical illustration. She sees medicine as a balance of art as well as science. Being a native of Indianapolis, Dr. Abid-Hoffman is excited to serve as a foot and ankle surgeon for Hoosier Foot & Ankle in Carmel, Indianapolis, and Zionsville Indiana.
